I recently started making frozen yogurt bark (late to the trend, as always, lol), and now I am hooked! The frozen yogurt bark featured here includes strawberries, blueberries, lilac blossoms and bee pollen, and I was inspired to make it by the abundant lilac in my garden, a few weeks ago. As you know, I have long been experimenting with lilac, and this is one of the results of my experiments in the kitchen, based on a variety of resources I found online, such as here and here.

All of the yogurt bark recipes I came across emphasized the importance of using a whole milk yogurt to ensure pleasant texture. I used my favorite yogurt at the moment, Sierra Nevada Cheese Graziers whole milk yogurt with cream on top and strawberries, which I have been buying in bulk from Azure Standard (detailed review here)
This yogurt is one of the best I’ve ever had! I like to pace myself and to eat the creamy topping *very* slowly, savoring each miniature spoonful. Combine it with refreshing juicy berries, fragrant lilac, and crunchy pollen, and you have the most yummilicious and enticing cold dessert, satisfying the sweet tooth with no feeling of heaviness, no guilt attached, and no extensive work involved.Ā

Minimal time spent in the kitchen = maximum time outdoors, enjoying the sunshine!

You are welcome to check out my most recent post on culinary applications of lilac blossoms here. My two detailed posts on lilac can be found here and here. Info on using these gorgeous seasonal flowers in honey and as a syrup can be found here, here, here, here and here.
Are you a fan of frozen/chilled desserts, and do you have a favorite? Perhaps you like yogurt bark as much as I do now. Let me know in the comments š
