With March being National Nutrition Month in the US, I thought I should take a moment to highlight a few relevant products I have tried out lately, which are good choices due to their wholesome nutritional profile.
Do you have a new favorite product or ingredient? Let me know in the comments 🙂
- Stella Foods
Stella Foods is a small business with a healthy holistic mission: to provide customers with great flavors “without the worries associated with IBS, mild allergies and food intolerances.” Their herb and spice blends are free from garlic, onion and other alliums like chives, leeks, and shallots, and they provide carefully curated flavors that are specifically packaged for use at home or in refillable, resealable packets to take on the road.
Stella Foods sent me The Daily and Addictive Heat.

The combination of bell pepper, carrot, mushroom, tomato and herbs in The Daily was an invitation for me to try it straight away! With a rich flavor profile that also contained sumac, nutmeg, pink peppercorn, and espelette chili powder, The Daily promised a delightful experience of earthy, bright, and well-rounded flavors.

The aroma that welcomed me when I opened the bottle was an absolute joy. Super fragrant and oh-so fresh!

We always like to add a little bit of oregano to our (Greek or otherwise, lol) salads. Since The Daily contains oregano, it has provided a well-rounded addition to our fresh dishes, with a robust harmonious taste that goes beyond oregano to embrace a worldwide kaleidoscope or herbs and spices. I have also been using The Daily in soups and stews.
Such a delicious blend!

- Wholesale Nuts and Dried Fruit
We go through a lot of nuts and dried fruits daily, and I like to shop for these items in bulk whenever I can. I recently learned about a new option for bulk buying: Wholesale Nuts and Dried Fruit. Founded by Matthew Baron after a diabetes diagnosis that inspired him to embrace raw, whole foods, Wholesale Nuts and Dried Fruit offers bulk nuts, seeds, and dried fruit sourced directly from farmers, and packaged sustainably.

I was impressed with the variety of whole foods on the website, and with the quality of the items I received. Soft and pillowy, with no added sugar, the apple rings were a fabulous topping for my oatmeal bowls, along with the super fresh pecans.

The best start to the day, packed with exciting ingredients and delicious nutrition!

- Coco Polo
Coco Polo was founded in 1997 out of a personal mission: to craft chocolate that could satisfy a diabetic sweet tooth without compromising on flavor. As co-founder Diane Yamate states, “We started Coco Polo by listening to my dad, who had diabetes and struggled to find chocolate he could enjoy. He wanted a chocolate that didn’t just meet his dietary needs but also tasted just as good as the sweet treats he remembered sharing with his family.”

Coco Polo Bliss products are made with upcycled whole cacao fruit, offering a more sustainable, nutrient-dense chocolate experience. The move to use the entire cacao pod, not just the beans, enhances the chocolate’s nutritional profile, unlocking a treasure trove of beneficial compounds.
I thoroughly enjoyed trying out Coco Polo Bliss Raspberry Hibiscus chocolate, a scrumptious, indulgent variety with an incredible flavor profile. Sweetened with stevia and perfumed with the aroma of fresh raspberries and wholesome hibiscus, this perfectly-sized chocolate delight has been an amazing addition to my desserts. Take strawberries and cream, for example 🙂

Coco Polo has recently launched its new product packaging. Exciting times for an inspiring, sustainability-driven business!
