With Mother’s Day coming up in the US this weekend, I thought now would be the perfect time to share my review of an appliance I have thoroughly enjoyed using these past few months: Gourmia GAF824 8-QT Digital Window Air Fryer with 12 One-Touch Presets. I love a quick meal and the delicious and healthful convenience provided by air fryers, and when Gourmia offered to send me their consumer favorite, award-winning air fryer, I jumped at the chance and said yes 🙂
My first collaboration with Gourmia goes back to 2016, after meeting at the Home+Housewares Show (now rebranded as The Inspired Home Show). I am a big fan of the sturdiness and reliability of their appliances, evidenced by my constant use of their spiralizer (still going strong after so many years, yay!)

Gourmia’s 8-quart digital air fryer can cook food for up to 8 people, and you can monitor food at a glance thanks to its window and interior light. Its 12 One-Touch Cooking Presets cover popular functions: Air Fry, Fries, Wings, Bacon, Seafood, Vegetables, Bake, Roast, Broil, Dehydrate, Reheat, and Keep Warm. Stress-free cooking and cleaning are easy to accomplish with this air fryer, which requires minimal maintenance and ensures delicious results with up to 80% less fat. The appliances comes with a very handy User Manual and a 60+ page recipe book with cooking charts (so informative and convenient!)

Here is the spec sheet, at a glance:
- Extra-large 8-QT capacity cooks for up to 8 people
- Window & Light let you monitor food at a glance
- 12 One-Touch Cooking Presets cover popular functions
- FryForce 360 Technology fries with air for up to 80% less fat
- An optional Preheat and Turn Food Reminder achieve delicious results

I had a lot of fun testing this Gourmia air fryer in a variety of preparations, both savory and sweet. On the savory side, I loved air frying veggies to make quick meals with minimal effort. Below you have pictured a bundle of air-fried squash, bell peppers, and pinto beans, topped with tomatoes, greens, and feta cheese.

Simplicity at its very best and its most delicious!

On the sweet side, you may remember me posting baked apples over the years, here and here. I usually fill these with a mixture of homemade jam and chopped nuts. Recently, while testing the Bake function of the Gourmia air fryer, I used a blend of homemade pineapple jam and dark chocolate poha/flattened rice for filling, and I topped the apples with powdered freeze-dried fruits. The aromatic softness of the apples, the sturdy, (still) slightly crispy poha, the caramelized chewiness of the pineapple and the robust darkness of the chocolate made up an amazing combination, rendered perfectly baked and crisp by the Gourmia air fryer.

I have seen quite a few posts recommending air frying fruits, and I thought this would be the perfect moment to make some in my new Gourmia appliance. I topped my homemade ice cream with fresh fruits and with air-fried pineapple and pears covered in coconut oil and sprinkled with cinnamon.

The air fried fruits were flavor-packed and soft, and they melted in the mouth without being mushy. Fantastic quick preparation with delicious result, and the best warm weather dessert in a cup, imo 🙂

I am impressed with the variety of options and the reliability of the Gourmia GAF824 air fryer, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to prepare delicious and nutritious meals in very little time. The sleek and compact design makes this appliance a welcome addition to my kitchen counter, and I look forward to using it extensively over the years. With summer just around the corner, this air fryer transforms cooking, rendering it easy and conveniently delicious, and it is perfect for larger gatherings on the patio or for quick family meals. It is an amazing gift for all the mothers among us, and a gift of wholesome nutrition for us all.
