There comes a time when you realize the excuses no longer work. You do have fitness centers nearby, there’s nothing pressing on the schedule, and the family will be just fine if you’re away for a couple of hours. I went through this process recently, and after analyzing all the excuses that had kept me away from exercising all these years, I went ahead and joined the local gym. I started with yoga classes, followed by treadmill sessions. It is a work in progress, and my body, which has never done this kind of sustained effort before, is showing signs of stress and struggle.
Persistence is my middle name though, 🙂 and I will definitely continue on this path. Of course, going to the gym is just part of the story – my burgeoning gym routine needs to be complemented by proper nutrition. I recently incorporated Naked Nutrition Chocolate Pea Protein Powder into my fitness regimen, and I am very happy with its flavor, nutritional profile, and with the overall approach to fitness exhibited by this business.
The Naked Nutrition story starts in 2014, when former cross country and track All-American Stephen Zieminski “noticed many supplements included numerous ingredients of little nutritional value. People trying to live a healthy lifestyle aided by supplements were being marketed health, but sold something else.” Zieminski founded Naked Nutrition, starting with five single ingredient supplements, including the best-selling Naked Whey from grass-fed Northern California and Idaho cows, and Naked Pea from raw yellow peas grown in the USA and Canada. “No artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners and no mixing agents. You control the flavor and your nutrition by what you choose to add to Naked proteins and supplements.” I love this philosophy 🙂
These days, Naked Nutrition make over 50 wholesome products, sold in BPA free containers, with most of them having 3 ingredients or less. “As we grow the vision is still the same – give people control over their health and fitness journey by using pure ingredients that are easy to understand and as few of them as possible.”
I thoroughly enjoyed the deliciousness and versatility of Naked Nutrition Chocolate Pea Protein Powder, which is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and non-GMO. This protein powder has only three ingredients (organic cacao powder, organic coconut sugar, and pea protein extracted from yellow split peas grown on US and Canadian farms), has zero additives and artificial sweeteners, is certified vegan, and is independent third-party tested for heavy metals.
Naked Nutrition have an amazing variety of recipes on their website, so finding one was a matter of seconds, literally. I particularly enjoyed their quick strawberry pea protein shake recipe, in which I used both strawberries and peaches with equally delicious results. The pea protein powder was easy to mix, delicious to taste, and the satisfying flavors and textures were enhanced by the peace of mind I experienced knowing that what I was consuming was free of additives. I particularly loved the delicate sweetness of this powder, which was easy to customize, as per individual preferences. I added a handful of organic pumpkin seeds, and what ensued was an amazing post-workout drink 🙂
The Naked Nutrition website also features an excellent information section, where you can read about dumbbell shoulder workouts, fixing glute imbalance, and what to eat before running, to name just a few topics. As a researcher, I highly appreciate this section, which complements the product information pages and the recipes beautifully.
I highly recommend Naked Nutrition Chocolate Pea Protein Powder, and I look forward to continuing using it, as well as other Naked Nutrition products for the foreseeable future 🙂
