Refreshing fruit soups, perfectly comforting and relaxing! My CBD Living review

shared by MickyN | Leave a Comment

What are you making this spring? Anyone into smoothies and fruit soups? I think I have developed an obsession for these two 🙂 Maybe it’s just my imagination, but it seems as if my body has been needing all of the refreshing goodness it can get. In our household this usually means soups, smoothies, and salads (in no particular order!) – and this spring, my soups and smoothies have a secret ingredient: CBD.

At a time when bloggers and social media influencers are seen pretty much everywhere talking about CBD brands, benefits and success, I have been reluctant to write about this trend due to the overwhelming number of articles I have found (see here and here, for example) discussing fake CBD products. How can I possibly endorse CBD products when there is such an abundance of items out there which fail to deliver in terms of purity and/or safety? Keenly aware of this situation, I knew I had to conduct extensive research to ensure only the best products would be featured on this blog. Thankfully, CBD Living is in a different league altogether, and this is why I said yes when they recently offered to send me a variety of their products (some seasonal, others not) to try and review.

CBD Living is one of the world’s fastest-growing CBD manufacturers and distributors, with more than 100 products in 5000 stores, ranging from CBD water to gummies and from chocolates to tinctures, vapes, bath bombs and more (even dog food!) All of their CBD comes directly from organically-grown hemp in the US. CBD from this facility is triple-tested, and it contains absolutely no THC or traces of THC. According to CBD Living, “We are one of the few companies that can say we truly have traceability from seed to finished product.”

CBD Living use ultrasound waves to break down CBD particles into nanoparticles 1/1000 the size of a red blood cell, allowing the CBD to pass through the blood membrane for enhanced absorption. This proprietary technique leads to up to 90 percent bioavailability, compared to 10-15 percent bioavailability to be found in a traditional CBD product. In their own words, “We chose to utilize nanotechnology in our products because, with higher bioavailability, consumers need a smaller dose of CBD to get the full effect. In other words, they get more bang for their buck.”

The first two CBD Living items I tried were the Dark Chocolate Bar and the Candy Cane Tincture. I melted the chocolate, added 2 droppers of the tincture, and used the mixture to coat sliced watermelon. Perfect for refreshing spring or summer grown-up picnics!

Inspired by one of the recipes sent by CBD Living, I decided to use their Milk Chocolate Bar to make a latte with organic almond milk. For an extra kick (and in line with their original recipe), I added 1 tsp CBD Living Instant Coffee. So delicious, especially on a chilly rainy day 🙂

The CBD Living Calming Tincture (unflavored) was the next item I tried. I decided to use it in a pineapple and strawberry smoothie with organic almond milk. I served it with fresh mint on top. It was super thirst-quenching and satisfying, and not overly sweet (zero sugar added, yess!)

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to try CBD Living’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Tincture! I am not a particularly big fan of pumpkin, but I do like to work with it and to make sweet healthy treats since I am well aware of its health benefits. Recently I started going through the pumpkin puree I had stored in the freezer last fall – CBD Living’s tincture could not have come at a better time!

I paired the pumpkin puree with blood orange, orange juice, and raw wildflower honey. I blended these ingredients well, added 2 droppers of the tincture, and served chilled in a soup bowl, with mint on top for freshness.

I just loved how the gentle sweetness and acidity of the blood oranges elevated the goodness of the pumpkin- plus, the color was absolutely gorgeous!

I think this is the perfect bowl of vibrant yet calming sunshine to make you happy and to lift your spirits. I love the flavors and look of this soup – so mesmerizing, so upbeat, so healthy and delicious!

CBD Living is sold in more than 2,000 retail locations including grocery stores, convenience stores, gyms, hotels, spas, juice bars, gas stations, and pharmacies. Customers can also shop online here.

Having tried this variety of CBD Living products, I recommend them on their own or as seamless additions to spring dishes and beverages. In a world that is going through unprecedented times, you need nutrition, flavor, and a bit of calming magic. I felt relaxed after enjoying these CBD Living products, and I was happy with the recipes I created as part of this project. I invite you to make these recipes, enjoy your spring – and feel a little bit calmer with CBD Living 🙂
